The Prison Department is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Corrections Officer. As a Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining order and security within the prison walls. You will monitor inmates while they are in their cells, during meals and recreational activities, and while they are out of the prison. You will also be responsible for conducting security checks and searches, as well as carrying out other duties as assigned. In order to be successful in this position, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have the ability to work independently, and have the ability to manage difficult situations. You must also be able to make sound decisions quickly and effectively, and have a strong understanding of prison regulations and procedures. In addition to your duties as a Corrections Officer, you must be willing to work overtime and any shift, including nights and weekends.
