The National TB Control Program seeks a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a TB Control Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to local health departments and health care providers in the areas of TB prevention and control, including surveillance, epidemiology, case management and education. The TB Control Officer will be expected to develop TB prevention and control strategies, ensure that TB surveillance and case management protocols are followed and coordinate with partner organizations to ensure adequate TB control services are available. The successful candidate will also develop and implement educational programs to ensure that health care providers, patients and the community are aware of the risks and symptoms of TB. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in public health, health promotion, epidemiology or a related field, with at least three years of experience in TB prevention and control. Knowledge of TB surveillance and reporting systems, experience working with local health departments and familiarity with public health regulations is also preferred. Responsibilities:
- Educate the public about TB symptoms, transmission, and prevention.
- Develop and implement policies and strategies to control and prevent TB.
- Monitor TB cases and trends and provide adequate treatment.
- Provide financial and technical support to help public health systems detect and manage TB cases.
- Track and evaluate the effectiveness of TB control programs.
- Provide training and resources to health care workers to improve TB detection and management.
- Facilitate access to TB diagnostic tests, treatments, and medicines.
- Advocate for TB-related policies at the local and national level.
